I have always been so proud to claim him as my ancestor. Reading his many journals always makes me feel like I should put the journal I am reading down and “do something”! He was a hard worker, right up until his death. His faithfulness throughout the trials and challenges of those early years in the Church have always made me feel like I must be just as faithful.
