Brannan founded a small agricultural city (Yuba City, ) across the river from Marysville, then a big port city. Your bio only lightly touched on the sad fact that Brannon turned out to be “ a not so good person”. Thankfully he brought good people to Yuba City who help establish the Church of Jesus Christ there. Over the many years since, members of the Church and their good activity in family, church, community and temple work, has been considered and given rise to now being a New location for a Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Yuba City is my hometown and where church missionaries brought me the true gospel of Our Lord. I now live on the East Coast, but I was as thrilled as anyone at the news yesterday by President Nelson at General Conference.
